  • My Story

Hi, I’m Alex.

I believe the world’s most magical places aren't just in our heads—they’re on the map.

Have you ever finished a chapter or watched the credits roll and felt a deep longing to step right into that world? To walk in the footsteps of a protagonist, or see the landscapes that inspired a legendary author?

I certainly have.

My passion lies at the intersection of film, literature, and travel. I don’t just want to read a story; I want to breathe the same air as the characters. I believe there is a unique magic in travelling to the places that inspired authors, experiencing the grit of a real film set, or exploring a world-class attraction built from the ground up to honour a masterpiece.

Why "Story-Driven" Travel?

To me, visiting these locations is the ultimate way to connect with the narratives we love.

  • The Authenticity of the Globe: Watching a play at Shakespeare’s Globe in London isn't just a night out; it’s a time-travelling experience. The architecture and the atmosphere bring 400-year-old sonnets to life in a way that feels electric and real.
  • The Wonder of King’s Cross: Even after many visits, I still smile every time I see the queue for Platform 9¾. It is fascinating to see how a piece of fiction literally transformed a functional train station into a place of joy and community.

What You’ll Find Here

I created this space to share the wondrous world of film and literature tourism with you. My goal is to map out real, live places across the globe that hold the spirits of our favourite stories.

This blog and website are just the beginning. I am building a community for those of us who seek out "main character moments" and "literary latitudes".

Let’s Explore Together

This site is a living project and will evolve as we uncover more hidden gems and epic locations. I would love to hear from you:

  • What story changed the way you see the world?
  • Which film set is at the top of your bucket list?

I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s dive into the story and make every day a fulfilling adventure.

 — Alex

To move, to breathe, to fly, to float, To gain all while you give, To roam the roads of lands remote, To travel is to live.
